1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Prepare Dough: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using homemade dough, roll it out to a rectangle about 14x10 inches on a lightly floured surface.

    Mix Cheeses: In a medium bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until fully combined.

      Add Fillings: Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Layer the sliced pepperoni over the cheese.

        Seasoning: Sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes (if using) evenly over the filling for added flavor.

          Roll Stromboli: Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough away from you, keeping it tight and tucking in the edges as you go to prevent the filling from spilling out. Pinch the seams to seal.

            Prepare for Baking: Transfer the rolled stromboli to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place seam side down. Brush the top with beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.

                Cool and Slice: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Slice into 1-inch pieces for serving.
